And then I had a hare brain idea to make even more scrappy ones...
I was thinking... In July, I will have 32 nine patches from Anina's swap. I think that's also the same time AmandaJean's nine patch quilt along will end and I'll have a bazillion 9 patches from that. I can't exactly make a quilt with 11 scrappy 9 patches so I'll have to make more. Hmmm... just how many nine patches does one girl need. I guess we will find out soon.
Speaking of swaps, I've joined another. Are ya'll sensing I may have a little problem with self control? Actually, this is a small swap. It's a place mat swap and I only have to make one. My partner is Autumn and I already love her. She seems like so much fun. Go visit her blog. She may be MIA for a while because she's getting ready to go to Kauai. Lucky duck. Sigh... I wonder if I'll fit in her suitcase. I won't eat much and I'd be happy to just sleep on the beach.
Speaking of blogs, my friend Jen just enter the blogging world. She recently caught the quilting bug and has been quilting whenever she gets a chance. So go to a peek and welcome her to this madness!
haha.....you are so silly. I will have you in mind on my ventures.
ReplyDeleteAloha! -A
Chen... I LOVE the scrappy 9-patches! I'm working on a 9-patch...not the quilt a long (b/c I never have enough time to quilt) but anyway considered doing scrappy, but didn't think it would look right. Now after seeing yours, maybe one day I'll try it. I really love yours! The fabrics are super cute! Thanks for the mention of my new blog! Wish I knew how to make it all cute and original!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful squares!
ReplyDeleteHow many 9 patches do you need? I used 70 in my 9 patch quilt! I'm hoping that Anina agrees to do another month, because 36 patches is just not enough! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are on a ROLL!
ReplyDeleteOh those are great 9 Patches, such a simple block, but also so beautiful! Love your fabric choices!
ReplyDeleteAll of those blocks are great, but I LOVE the scrappy ones! I may have to work in some like that...perhaps for the back so that they don't look out of place?
ReplyDeleteLovely squares:)
ReplyDeleteI love your 9 Patches - so beautiful. The scrappy ones especially appeal to my love of all things scrappy. Loving your blog!!
ReplyDeleteI think I am liking the scrappy ones better. I don't know maybe I just like all of the different fabrics... Very cool. Love it. You are a busy girl.
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying being in the swaps and not in charge of them!!!
ReplyDeleteHey there! Those scrappy 9s are adorable! Add maybe one more, do a 3 x 4 sashed with white, and maybe a cute print border outside of that? Would make a super-cute baby quilt. I don't know about you, but every time I turn around, another one of my friends or co-workers is pregnant. I have started making baby quilts between bigger projects and just putting them aside for when I need one. :)
