Circle quilt done...again

At least I think it's done. Remember this? Here it is re-done. I'm still not crazy about it. I may change the outer border to the Bahama blue.
A close up...

This quilt top finished at 58"x72".

  4. I like the black border. Maybe a little more blue for the binding to make it pop, though? or pink... ooh, choices!

  5. binding? love the idea of matching the sashing, I know it was a lot of work to take it apart but I love the sashing!! Great quilt!!

  6. That looks so much better than them all smooshed together. AWESOME!

  7. I love it, but if you don't like the border, you could use the blue like you are thinking and then bind it in black. I do like the black because it makes the black in the blocks pop.

  9. If it was my quilt (and hot damn I wish it was) I would change to a blue border and bind in black as Zonnah suggested. It looks good as is though, you really can't lose.

BTW...are you still thinking about coming up to my neck of the woods?

Great job - I think you will have to show us all how you get those amazing white borders just perfect.

  11. It is gorgeous. Honestly, I think I would change the border to blue and bind it in black as others have said. Even without the changes, it is stunning as is. However, I think the blue border would be even more lovely.

  13. I love the circles! The blue sashing you've added really helps frame them and make them shine. I think the black border really makes them pop too. But-- it is your quilt, and if you like the blue, you should definitely go for it! :)

  14. We have to be on the same wavelength-- my Rebecca quilt is the exact same layout of 3 x 4 circles. It's the perfect size!

  16. I really like it and thinks it looks fantastic. If you are not sure about the black border, my suggestion would be to cut it down a bit and use it as an inner border, adding another border on to it. Just make sure you do what makes you happy. Sometimes I don't feel like re-doing my work, but then I remember that it is easier to do it now, rather than looking at it as a quilt and seeing all the things I don't like.
